that he expected to be a first time grandfather this
fall and is "loving retirement!"
Chris Cepale wrote
that her husband Robert, is coming into his own as an
American artist. His work can be seen on line at
www.WindhamFineArts.com
They have set up an art scholarship at the local high
school and endow the civic center with the proceeds from
his sales. Christine is busy buying old buildings and
renovating them. Her most recent project was a commercial
building in the heart of town, overlooking "Ski Windham".
The lower floor is rented to an antique and flower shop
and upstairs is a "posh apartment".
Ed Martin writes
that he has been sculpting 5-6 hours a day, four days
a week, and has prepared an exhibition of his work which
will be on display at Temple University in Philadelphia
in November and at the Freeport memorial Library in
December. Way to Go, Ed! congratulations!
Murray Spindel and
wife Jeanne continue to live on their 8 1/2 acre Eastern
Shore property. They completed a 6 month teaching assignment
in Hong Kong and are now fully retired, enjoying 17
grand children, woodcrafts, square dancing and hospital
volunteer work.
Susan Hodge
reports on the arrival of a second grandchild, Shane
Lucas, born 2/1/02 to daughter jennifer & husband
Robert. other daughter, Deborah and husband Andrew have
a 7 year old, Courtney Hope. Susan had uccessful knee
surgery last winter. She and her husband volunteer in
the Oceanside early Childhood Center once a week. She
also visits sick and shut-ins as a church volunteer.
