Dear
Colleagues.
This is
a time of change. The long hazy days of summer are becoming
the shorter brisker days of autumn. Vacations end; the
school year begins.
This is also
a time of change for the Freeport Teachers’ Association.
We have new people in our leadership roles. We have many
new members as well as colleagues in new positions within
our district. These changes are important because they
will move us forward and provide opportunities for us
to grow.
Change
does bring an end, but it also brings a new beginning
and an opportunity to redefine, rebuild and renew. The
hope for this school year is to continue this new beginning
by improving communications between the FTA, Central
Administration, parents and students in order to build
a stronger, better and more effective, supportive community
in which all children can and do learn.
